My recent visit to the Big Bang Data exhibition at Somerset House was partially motivated by the agenda of this week in London. Yesterday I attended the D-CENT General Assembly and the Advisory Group meeting. In this both gatherings we reviewed the progress of every Work Package and prepared the D-CENT Second Year Review. This meeting followed the same structure of the D-CENT First year review, where my colleague Javier Toret and I presented the contribution of Eurecat and UOC.
Our main work corresponds to the research activities for Work Package 2: Network driven data analysis, modelling and visualisation. In particular, we presented the main insights of the deliverable D2.3 When a movement becomes a party. We also detailed the work conducted in WP5 related to the Spanish pilot for direct democracy.

Finally, taking advantage of holding this meeting at the headquarters of Nesta, Francesca Bria (coord.) organized the D-CENT Showcase and Opportunities for UK Digital Democracy for the end of day. In this more casual event, we showed the D-CENT tools and explored the opportunities for the further activity in a UK context.
