Last week I gave a seminar at the Instituto de Estudios Sociales Avanzados – Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (IESA-CSIC). This institute, located in Córdoba, focuses on combining scientific excellence with a commitment to contribute to the improvement of social reality. Sebastian Rinken contacted me to invite me to present the opportunities offered by the digital revolution and the new mechanisms of participation/deliberation, along with their limitations and risks. IESA-CSIC researchers, who have extensive experience in conducting and analysing surveys, actively participated in the session by sharing with questions and comments, making it one of the most enriching seminars I remember.
