Today, I’m participating as as speaker at the NetSci Backstage satellite with the presentation “The missing link between Network Science and the Social Media Monitoring industry“. The aim of this contributed talk is to suggest that the strength of the link between Network Science and the Social Media Monitoring industry is crucial for the social comprehension of social media.
I have been honoured to be scheduled in the Session III with such great colleagues as Nuria Oliver, Luca Aiello, Daniel Villatoro, Dario Patanè, André Panisson and Esteban Moro. In this session we will explore issues of data sharing, privacy, and collaboration between academia and industry, and how to overcome them to address global challenges to their mutual benefit and the well-being of society.
