What a week in Paris for Wikimania 2026! Wikimania is the Wikimedia movement’s annual conference, organized by the community of contributors and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation. After several years of attending remotely, and even participating as a panelist in 2021, I finally had the chance to join this year’s edition in person. I was very happy to deliver a talk on Reference Risk: A Research-Based Approach to Source Reliability in Wikipedia, where I shared research on how we can assess the reliability of sources in Wikipedia references with a language-agnostic approach.

Thanks to Miriam Redi, Jérôme Hergueux and Kinneret Gordon for organizing the Research Track; to the Wikimania Core Organizing Team for making it all happen; to all the speakers for the amazing sessions; and, last but certainly not least, to all the volunteers who continue to deepen my understanding of the complex and inspiring Wikimedia movement.
