Wikiherramientas is a series of workshops designed to foster the exchange of knowledge, tools, and best practices for enhancing editing and organizational skills across various Wikimedia projects. Led by Wikimedistas de Uruguay, this initiative is made possible through the efforts of Evelin Heidel, with whom I had the pleasure of co-organizing the developer track of WikiWorkshop 2023. This week, I had the opportunity to participate in Wikiherramientas by giving a talk on several projects of the Wikimedia Foundation’s Research team. The goal of this session was to raise awareness among Wikimedia affiliates about these research efforts, so they can be translated into actionable insights to help inform decision-making about policies.
